Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Habitate, including habitateos.com, the Android app and the browser extension (together, the "Service"), provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Your account
You may use Habitate as a guest or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account. If you use Habitate on behalf of a household, you are responsible for the people you invite.
2. Your content
You own what you put into Habitate. You give us a limited licence to host, process, display and back it up solely to run the Service for you, including sending it to the providers described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to upload it. We do not claim ownership of it and do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.
3. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service. In particular, do not: break the law; upload content you have no right to share or that is harmful to others; probe, attack or overload the Service or try to access other people's data; bypass rate limits or usage limits; use the Service to build a competing product by automated scraping; or use automated means to create accounts.
4. AI features and your own judgement
Habitate includes AI-powered features. AI can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Nothing in Habitate is medical, veterinary, legal, financial, tax, electrical, structural or safety advice. That includes plant, pet and child-care guidance, emergency-preparedness checklists, financial routines, DIY project plans, workout plans and any figure or schedule the Service produces. Reference information is general and may not fit your situation, your home or your local rules. Always check manufacturer instructions and local codes, and consult a qualified professional (a doctor, vet, electrician, accountant and so on) when it matters. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
5. Google and third-party services
Features that connect to Google Tasks, Google Calendar or other services depend on those services and are subject to their terms. We are not responsible for changes to or outages of third-party services. You can disconnect Google at any time.
6. Plans and payments
Habitate has a free plan. AI-powered features are part of paid plans and are not available on the free plan. We may offer paid plans or one-time purchases for additional features. If we do, the price, what is included and how to cancel will be shown before you pay, and payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store your card number. We may change prices and plan limits for the future with reasonable notice.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Habitate available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Habitate relies on reminders and syncing that can fail or be delayed. Do not rely on Habitate as your only safeguard for anything where a missed task could cause harm or loss. We may change or discontinue features, and will give notice of significant changes where practical.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Habitate and delete your data at any time in Settings → Data & Privacy. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or put the Service or others at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in [COUNTY, STATE / COUNTRY] have exclusive jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. Questions: [CONTACT EMAIL].
